Where are cookies located?

In Windows 2000/XP, there are a several locations that cookies are downloaded to. Each is different depending on which browser you use. Because each user downloads cookies to their own documents in Windows 2000/XP, there will be several locations if there is more than one user on your machine.

Internet Explorer

In Internet Explorer, cookies are stored in the following locations:

%userprofile%\Cookies\
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\

They can also sometimes be found in:

C:\sysdir\Temporary Internet Files\

FireFox

In FireFox, cookies are stored in the following location:

%userprofile%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Default User\cookies.txt

Where Default User is a folder designated by random letters followed by .default.

Unlike Internet Explorer, FireFox stores all cookie information within one file called cookies.txt.
Mozilla

In Mozilla, cookies are stored in the following location:

%userprofile%\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profile name\cookies.txt

Like FireFox, Mozilla stores all cookie information within one file called cookies.txt.

Opera 8

In Opera 8 (and possibly older versions too), cookies are stored in the following location:

%userprofile%\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\cookies.dat

Opera stores all cookie information within one file called cookies.dat.

Netscape Navigator 7

In Netscape Navigator 7 (and possibly older versions too), cookies are stored in the following location:

%userprofile%\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profile name\cookies.txt

Like FireFox and Mozilla, Netscape stores all cookie information within one file called cookies.txt

Someone asked me about how to be SEARCHABLE in the search engine. OK.. These are my answers:

In meta key words, you tried to key different combination, short and sweet, this increase the easier search bcos when we do google search, we enter by words such as “Web,HTML,CSS,Javascript,PHP,MySQL”. This think I read it thru one of the books…

Think, some may be paid services, which when paid, you will have higher priority to display your search result

Just read this from google, https://www.google.com/adsense/ws-overview, if you have sufficient traffic, you can apply to be inside their fast list.

Let me introduce to you my “Happy Family” friends. On the left, we have Elfy (small bear, name given by my niece), Karie (big bear cum more than my 10 years friend. I always told my niece, Karie is older than her), Duckie and finally the front, we have Snoopy (becos it does look like snoopy). All live happily together… as one family.

Well, we formed another group of makan outing… Jacelyn, Sharon, Ai Chin and me… It was almost not a complete group this day because Ai Chin was caught up by some tasks.

We were supposed to go for Jap BBQ lunch but it was packed… and we decided not to wait. Ended up with the Soup Resturant with Samsui chicken, soups and a few dishes…  can’t recall now… too long… but I did remember 3 ladies eating many dishes. Very full after the lunch and we strolled United Square… then walked back to Novena Square to meet Ai Chin, urged her to come down for coffee break.

After more window shopping, we ended up at a Korean restaurant which we saw the dessert seems interesting. So… no coffee but dessert drinks..

Can’t remember but think are smoothies… blue berries and lemon / pineapple

It was supposed to be a bigger group of ladies gathering. We tried to meetup at least twice a year, to feast and chat. However, it ended up with me, Ai Chin and Sharon but we still decided to go ahead with it.

We had lunch at the “Ding Tai Feng” for chinese cuisine at City Hall (Raffles City basement). Work been stressing and we think we need to give ourselves a BREAK… monthly (but.. changed to bi-monthly if possible).

We ended up for a coffee break at one of the restaurant about 3plus.. before that, roaming around after our lunch. And when the coffee arrived at our table, we saw the design was nice and agreed to take a picture of each. Once done, I will post up to my blog as evidence of our “Coffee Break”. So, it started that we MUST always take picture of our food / drinks whenever we have gathering.

Interesting coffee designs and it reminded us of the Korean TV Serials “Coffee Prince”….

Mukesh Thakur:  How can that be a bug? There is no requirement that beep sound should come. Anyway, I will assign it to offshore and get it fixed.

After another 2 days

Roshan D’Mello :  I have re-opened the bug because sound is not coming in some PCs. Sound is coming in my machine, but my colleague Rajat Choudhry is not getting the sound.

After another 2 days

Mukesh Thakur : Not a bug. I observed that your friend Rajat Choudhry has Old IBM machine. Unlike your DELL machine, IBM machines do not have inbuilt speakers. So, to hear the sound in Rajat Choudhry’s machine, please use head phones and then get the bug closed soon.

Another 2 days

Roshan D’Mello :  I have re-opened the bug because sound tone is Different across different machines. Sound is coming as ‘BEEP’ in my machine, but My colleague Rajat Choudhry who is having IBM machine is getting the sound as ‘TONG’.

Mukesh Thakur : Not a bug. Get lost man. What can we do for the bug? The Two machines are built in such a way that they produce different sounds. Do You expect the developers to rebuild the IBM processors to make them uniform?
Please close it.

Another 2 days

Roshan D’Mello :  I have re-opened the bug because intensity of beep Sound produced on 2 different DELL machines is different. My machine produces Beep sound of intensity 10 decibels whereas my friend’s machine produces Sound worth 20 decibels. Fix your code to make the sound uniform across all machines.

Another 2 days later

Mukesh Thakur :  Once again it is not a bug. I have noticed that the Volume set is different on the two machines. Ensure that volume is same in both The machines before I get mad and then close the bug.

Roshan D’Mello :  I have re-opened the bug.

Mukesh Thakur :  What ?? Why? What more stupid reasons can be there for re-opening?

Roshan D’Mello:  Sound intensity is different for machines placed at different locations (different buildings). So, I have re-opened it.

After 2 days

Mukesh Thakur : I have made some scientists do an acoustical analysis of the two buildings you used for testing. They have observed that the acoustics in the two buildings varies to a large extent. That is why sound intensity is different across the 2 buildings. So, I beg you to please close the bugs.

After 1 year

Roshan D’Mello :  I am re-opeing the bug. During the year, I requested The clients to arrange architects to build two buildings with same Acoustical features, so that I can test it again. Now, when I tested, I found that intensity of sound still varying. So, I am re-opening the defect.

Mukesh Thakur : GROWLLLL…..I am really mad now. I am sure that the Sound waves of the two buildings are getting distorted due to some background noice or something. Now I need to waste time to prove that it is because of background noice.

Roshan D’Mello :   No need for that. We will put the machines and run them in vacuum and see.

Dear Tech Support Team:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child-processes that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activities.

Applications such as BachelorNights 10.3, Cricket 5.0 , BeerWithBuddies 7.5, and Outings 3.6 no longer runs, crashing the system whenever selected. I can’t seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications.

I’m thinking about going back to Girlfriend 5.0 , but the ‘uninstall ‘ doesn’t work on Wife 1.0.

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that people complain about.

Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1..0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!!

It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 5.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 5.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed not to allow this. (Look in your Wife 1.0 Manual under Warnings-Alimony- Child Support) ..

I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work on improving the environment.

I suggest installing the background application ‘ Yes Dear’ to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean 2.5, Sweep 3.0, Cook 1.5 and DoLaundry 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program NagNag 9.5 .

Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Sarees 2.1 and Jewellery 5.0

STATUTORY WARNING : DO NOT, under any circumstances, install SecretaryWithShortSkirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.
